Background

Julia Travers works primarily in the mediums of painting and drawing but sometimes creates in clay and assemblage sculpture or designs illustrations with CAD programs.

She is also a journalist and author. She taught Art in public schools for seven years and has led or participated in numerous community art collaborations and projects. She has a BA in Literary and Cultural Studies from The College of William and Mary and a BFA in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
